U.D.O. Announce New Drummer
January 8, 2005U.D.O., the German band led by former ACCEPT frontman Udo Dirkschneider, have announced the addition of drummer Francesco Jovino to the group's ranks. Jovino joins the band as the permanent replacement for Lorenzo Milani, who left the group for "personal reasons," according to a posting on U.D.O.'s web site.
Jovino has already completed a Scandinavian tour with U.D.O. and is expected to appear on the band's new album, the recording sessions for which recently began at a studio in Germany. 13 songs will appear on the as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2004's "Thunderball", tentatively due in October. A world tour in support of the album will kick off in January 2006.
